Neuropathy is a condition that occurs when nerves are damaged or not functioning properly, most often affecting the feet and sometimes the hands.
It can result from various causes, such as diabetes, spinal compression, chemotherapy, injuries, or, in about 30% of cases, no identifiable cause. Symptoms range from mild tingling or burning to severe, life-altering pain that disrupts daily life.
Beyond pain, neuropathy often causes numbness, making it difficult to feel sensations in the affected areas. It can also lead to balance problems, increasing the challenges of everyday activities.

Peripheral neuropathy affects millions of Americans, causing pain, burning, tingling, or loss of feeling in the hands and feet. Left untreated, it can lead to balance issues, difficulty walking, and even loss of independence.

Peripheral neuropathy affects millions each year and occurs when the nerves that carry signals between the brain, spinal cord, and body become damaged. These nerves travel along pathways called dermatomes, and when disrupted, the damage can cause radiating pain, numbness, tingling, weakness, or burning sensations in specific areas of the body.
This interruption in nerve communication can impact muscle movement, reduce normal sensation in the hands and feet, and create discomfort that ranges from mild to severe. Neuropathy may develop from diabetes, nutritional deficiencies, infections, certain diseases, or hereditary factors. In many cases, the exact cause is unknown (idiopathic neuropathy), yet the symptoms are just as real and limiting.
Our clinic takes a multi-modal, non-invasive approach designed to support nerve function, improve circulation, and promote the body’s natural ability to heal.

Our Program May Include:
Chiropractic Care
For some people, joint stiffness or restricted motion in the spine can keep symptoms “stuck.” Chiropractic care can be used to improve mobility and reduce unnecessary strain on the nervous system, based on your comfort level and what your exam shows.
Cold Laser Therapy
In appropriate cases, cold laser therapy can be used to support the body’s natural recovery response and help calm irritated tissues. It is often paired with rehab so movement work feels more tolerable.
Shockwave Therapy
Some neuropathy patterns overlap with tendon or soft-tissue irritation that keeps the area reactive. Shockwave therapy can be used to support local circulation and recovery when tissues are slow to settle.
Trigger Point Injections
When stubborn muscle tightness is feeding nerve irritation or limiting motion, trigger point injections may be considered. Reducing that “guarding” can make it easier to move, sleep, and participate in active rehab.
Let’s be honest. For many people suffering from neuropathy, the medications only keep getting stronger… while the pain continues to get worse.
Most patients we meet have already tried multiple doctors, prescriptions, and treatment options. Each new medication may temporarily dull the symptoms, but it rarely addresses the underlying cause of the nerve damage.
Instead, many treatments simply mask the pain while the condition continues to progress.
And unfortunately, many of these medications come with unwanted side effects and risks, leaving patients feeling frustrated and stuck without real answers.
That’s why more people are now looking for non-surgical approaches that focus on the root cause of neuropathy, not just temporary symptom relief.
Today, innovative treatment programs are helping patients across the country reduce burning, numbness, and tingling and finally start getting their lives back.

Dr. Brian brings over 27 years of chiropractic experience and has served the Suppesville and Milton area for nearly 18 years. Over that time, he has worked with many patients who felt stuck, and he saw a clear need for more options beyond medications or surgery.
That desire to offer additional services and a more complete path to relief is what led to the creation of Midwest Pain Relief Center. He cares deeply about outcomes and enjoys helping people move forward with a plan that fits their real lives.
Outside the clinic, you will usually find Dr. Brian cheering on K‒State or spending time outdoors. He and his wife, Daydree, have three daughters.

Lisa has worked in healthcare since 2002, with experience in both hospital and outpatient settings. Over the years, she has cared for patients in a wide range of roles, including drug and alcohol treatment, renal transplants, stroke care, and dialysis support.
She pursued her nurse practitioner degree because she wanted to do more than manage symptoms. Her focus is pain management with a strong emphasis on patient outcomes, clear guidance, and follow‒through.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys time at the lake, fishing, crafting, and being with her family.
